Last full day in Adelaide

The last full day provides me with the time to complete the manditory laundry run $8!! then onto the Fringe festivals parade - this is where a number of the acts get to parade along some of the city centre streets. Starting at 2pm the streets a lined with keen observers as the parade begins with banner wavers, dancers and acrobats (These are absolutely fabulous with demonstrations of some of their stunts performed right in front of us - i can hardly believe the strength of some of the members as they form a stack of people three high 0_0). My roomate for a while Cosmo was also in the parade providing some of his endless energy through clowning around on a pair of bouncing stilts.
The parade was in two parts and the second part came down the same road with floats and dancers including the bellie dancers and carnival group. The Fringe King and Queen were also there in all their 20'+ glory made up from recycled materials.
Overall an occassion aimed squarely at families and providing some FREE entertainment while drumming up customers for future events. Excellent.
Now it is time to pack and prepare for the overnight bus to Melbourne... Unlike all other countries that i have travelled in, the overnight buses here are in fact just reclining chairs like a plane rather than the ly-flat 'beds' of Vietnam buses... hmm... Will report on them when i reach Melbourne.
