As my birthday started I was singing to the Police in a Karaoke Palace in Beijing, quite an experience as it has been set up in an old hotel and each room can be booked with Karaoke, Huge TV and lounge sofas - needless to say Ness and Lee had arranged a wonderful party for their end of year celebrations and completion of exams. Their entire crew was there and it was an international crowd which I instantly felt welcomed into with duets being hammered out and entire room backing vocals performed as each singer took the mike (I have to admit I could not keep up with the ones in Mandarin!!) but had a whale of a time with one of the warmest groups of people I have ever met. Thank you guys :)
My plan for the day on returning to the Youth Hostel at 3am is to sleep and hold up in Starbucks to catch up on the blog, photos and journal. So to everyone out there - Cheers, here is to a year of happiness and adventure.
Thank you also to those who gave me fabulous cards to open while i was away - these were wonderful to open when i got back to my room :)
