Is this the best site in San Francisco?

Deciding to divert inland across Doyle Drive (and crossing a road without looking the right way [typical Brit in the USA]!! - careful here) I find something that blows me away - the architecture is simply breathtaking in its simple elegance. It is the ‘palace of fine art Exploratorium’, a domed construction flanked by pillared curtains of rock. It is a simply beautiful place to while away an hour watching the birds (mostly sea gulls) washing themselves in the fresh water of the lake. While I was walking around the site I found out that a film crew was using the location for a set piece in some TV show or another… don’t know who they were but security was tight… If you are in San Francisco - spend some time here (bring a picnic), you will not regret it. (I later find out that there used to be twelve of these magnificent Romanesque structures but they tore eleven of them down 0_0... Why? After all, it is a place of sublime peace. Enjoy.

After an hour out relaxing at the palace of fine art Exploratorium I decide to move on towards the bridge - another two miles of coastal walk amongst the joggers and dog walkers (and yes there are ‘professional dog walkers here - lots of them!! Tethered up with numerous colourful leads, it seems to a whole range of canine breeds - it brings a smile to my face just watching the interaction).
