Loading up with all of my gear means I look like a pack-mule but the journey is pain free with buses meeting up well from the 294 to the 110 to the ‘BART’ underground train… Total cost for the 25 mile trip $6.90c ;)
Ending at the Civic Centre stop it is a bit of a walk to reach the hostel in the ‘Little Saigon’ district on Ellis through what I can only describe as a ‘little less salubrious’ part of town… Lots of people hanging out on the streets and many homeless… Bit run down… Still Hostel staff are welcoming and it seems to have all the mod cons of the other hostels that I have stayed at including a wonderfully decorated lounge area bedecked with national flags from around the world… Well home for the next three nights…
